NZSC Series

The Sports Racing Car Association of NZ Inc. was formed in the 1970s and for many years, administered sports car racing in New Zealand. When the cost of transporting cars across Cook Strait became prohibitive, the series was limited to the North Island only. In 2001 this Association became a sub-group within the Sports Car Club of New Zealand Inc. (SCCNZ) and has now evolved into an independant  entity again, part of the newly formed Tier Two racing organisation under the IRC banner.

The NZSC group organises and runs a series of races known as the New Zealand Sports Car Series, on North Island circuits at  National Tier 2 level race meetings. Membership is spread fairly evenly throughout the North Island with a few associates in the South Island. The aims of the group are to foster the construction and racing of sports cars with particular emphasis on Sports and Sports-Racing cars.

Registration

In order to be eligible for points, all drivers must be members of a MotorSport NZ-affiliated club and pay a registration fee to the Series organisers, before the start of each season.

About Us

The Sports Car Club of New Zealand (SCCNZ) was formed in 1982, by a group of car enthusiasts who wished to create a Club primarily devoted to the promotion and advancement of the Sports Car and Gran Turismo (GT) vehicle, from home built specials to factory exotics.
