Change of Club Secretary

The Club has a new Hon. Secretary - Chris Hull.

Until he gets his feet firmly under the table, the Immediate Past Secretary, Al Martin will continue to accept email correspondence at the address listed under the Contacts tab.  This includes membership renewals and website inputs.

Welcome Chris.....

COVID-19

COVID-19 continues to impact our operations, but hopefully, Spring will see a resumption of competition by SCCNZ.

MotorSport NZ is actively encouraging clubs to resume competition, but they still require some quite challenging procedures to be implemented at these events - procedures which would result in substantial added costs to the organisers.

We will continue to monitor the situation and hopefully will be able to resume event organisation in time for the better weather in Spring.

Here is a short video, courtesy of Lishan De Silva, of our March 2018 Sprint on the Club Circuit at Hampton Downs.

Great weather, great little track and great fun......  Thanks Lishan.

NZ Hobby Car Technical Manual

The NZHCTM is a "must" for any member contemplating building a "scratch-built" vehicle or just modifying an existing vehicle.

SCCNZ members are able to purchase this publication from NZ Hotrod Association (who control this manual) for $150 including GST, a discount of $100 to the list price of $250. There is a courier charge of $10 for North Island deliveries and $15 for South Island deliveries.  A 2.5% fee also applies for payment by Visa or Mastercard.  Still a steal..........

Follow this link Hobby Car Technical Manual to order your copy, or phone 07-575-7606 to contact the Marketing and Sales Officer for NZHRA direct.  You may have to supply proof of current SCCNZ membership when ordering.
